My Role: Makeup Artist

"Storage" was the first film I worked on with Devin after meeting him at the oft-mentioned FX workshop, which took place four months before.  Devin was looking for a combination of heavy bruising and ghost/skeleton makeup.

As it was only my sophomore year of college, I wasn't sure how much makeup effects I'd be doing in the future, and I know I didn't have the right stuff to pull off the effect he wanted.  So, I went ahead and bought my first bruise wheel and first proper set of brushes for this effect.

In the days prior to the shoot (over fall break), I sent Devin images of three test makeup designs, each gradually more intense, with the third being the one he liked the best.

In addition to being my first major makeup effect since starting at Webster, this is the set that, no offense to Devin, I learned just how rough a set could go.  This in particular was an invaluable learning experience, and, despite personal issues ongoing at the time, one that I am extremely grateful for.
